Weighted average cost (WAC) calculation
Weighted Average Cost is the standard accounting approach for investors in gold, currency and financial markets. With every new purchase, the weighted average is re-evaluated from the purchase price and the added quantity.
The system manages the chronological order of purchases and sales automatically. You do not need to build complex Excel formulas or worry about cost basis shifting after staged sales.
- Instant, accurate cost basis after every purchase
- Realized profit from sales kept separate from the nominal profit on remaining holdings
- Smart warning if you record a sale larger than your accumulated balance
Record trade details with the Persian calendar
Every trade is recorded with its Shamsi date, exact time, the currency or gold rate at the moment of the trade and detailed notes. A quick "Today" button speeds up daily purchase entry.
For each transaction you can specify whether it was a cash trade, a swap against another asset, or which bank account it was settled from, so your financial chain stays unambiguous.
- Persian calendar with a smooth date picker and a current-day shortcut
- Filter and search trade history by asset and time range
- CSV export (opens in Excel) for archiving financial records
Realized profit and loss reports
When you record a sale, RealRate calculates the cost basis of the quantity sold from the average on that day and records the difference from the sale price as final profit or loss.
This precise analysis shows which trades were most profitable and how your staged strategy has played out over time.
- A clear view of investment performance with no human calculation errors
- Edit past transactions and the whole chain updates automatically
- Full encryption of transaction history in your data vault
